Traffic Advisory for Next Weekend
Please note that an Air Show will be taking place in Charleston next weekend, which will impact traffic in several areas. We recommend allowing extra travel time when heading to and from downtown.
The most significant update is that the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge will be closed during the scheduled afternoon show on Friday 5.1 and Saturday 5.2. In addition, the pedestrian walkway will be closed all three days, April 30 through May 2, from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
Traffic Impacts:
Thursday: No closures anticipated
Friday: Single-lane closures in both directions from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM
Saturday: Full bridge closure from approximately 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Please plan accordingly and allow for additional travel time.
